• The arm hums but the gate doesn’t move. The motor is getting power but the internal gear is slipping. On MM-series arms, this is usually the plastic drive gear stripping after five or six years of Texas heat cycling.
• The gate moves halfway and stops, then beeps twice. This is the control board sensing excess current draw, which often means the motor is fighting against a mechanical bind or its own failing bearings.
